Ancillary Products Telephone Sales Agent Job Description:

Our growing direct sales company is currently searching for a highly-analytical and professional Ancillary Products Telephone Sales Agent to join our team. We prefer a sales background but we are willing to train the right individual. If you are a talented and sales-minded professional with a passion for the consumer protection products industry, then we are interested in you. Your chief goal as our Sales Agent will be to generate new business by engaging with potential customers via lead sources we provide and building lasting relationships by servicing the customer throughout product ownership.

Your work will include engaging with customers calling into our busy call center, assessing potential risk resolution, and introducing callers to products that minimize the financial risks associated with Vehicle and Home Ownership. In addition to having excellent communication skills, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate policy cost and create payment methods.
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with prospective clients from a purchased lead pool.
  • Recommend risk management strategies that fit clients' personal risk profiles.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of initiatives to management.
  • Complete administrative tasks including maintaining records and handling policy renewals.
  • Track policy activity to ensure client and company satisfaction.
  • Describe the advantages and disadvantages of different policies to promote the sale of coverage plans.
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or ancillary providers.
  • Respond to clients’ insurance-related questions and issues.
  • Build relationships with coverage providers to ensure full scope customer service experience.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of the different types of ancillary plans available for vehicle and/or home protection.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in computers and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.'
